What is polyimide?
Polyimide (PI) is an advanced aromatic heterocyclic polymer whose unique imide molecular bonds make its structure exceptionally stable. This unique chemical property endows polyimide with unparalleled thermal stability, mechanical strength, and chemical resistance, outperforming traditional engineering plastics even in extreme environments. Furthermore, polyimide is one of the most comprehensive organic polymer materials. Its high-temperature resistance exceeds 400℃, with a long-term operating temperature range of -200-300℃. Some types do not have a distinct melting point. It exhibits excellent insulation properties, with a dielectric constant of 3.0 at 103 Hz and a dielectric loss of only 0.004~0.007, classifying it as a F to H type material.
