What is coordinate boring? ''
Coordinate drilling is a high-precision method of drilling holes in metal and plastic workpieces. Jig drilling machines are very precise (tools can be positioned to micron-level tolerances) and their operations are repeatable (tools can be placed in the exact same position over and over again). As a result, jig drilling machines can produce high-precision holes with very tight tolerances.
The coordinate boring machine has a column, the column is equipped with a spindle head, and the spindle head is equipped with a spindle. The spindle moves vertically, allowing the boring tool to rotate. All are mounted on a workbench that holds the workpiece and rests on a saddle. The saddle moves horizontally and provides all necessary longitudinal movement.
