What is Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS)?
Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) is a partially crystalline, high-temperature, high-performance polymer widely used due to its high melting point and inherent flame retardancy. PPS is one of the most “metallic” polymers known, making it ideal for harsh environments due to its excellent chemical resistance. PPS resin is an organic polymer composed of aromatic rings linked by sulfide bonds. Due to its unique structure, PPS plastic exhibits excellent chemical resistance and good mechanical strength. Its chemical resistance and tensile strength remain stable even at temperatures above 200°C. Furthermore, PPS has low water absorption, resistance to hot water and steam, and good dimensional stability. PPS polymer also possesses excellent dielectric and insulating properties, remaining stable under various conditions, and is inherently flame-retardant.

PPS Grades and Properties
General-Purpose PPS
General purpose PPS exhibits excellent heat resistance, with a heat deflection temperature of approximately 95°C. It possesses good chemical inertness and high resistivity. Its tensile strength is approximately 75 MPa, and it has moderate impact strength.
Reinforced PPS
Reinforced PPS offers superior mechanical properties. Its tensile strength reaches approximately 110 MPa, and dimensional stability is also improved. It has a higher heat deflection temperature, typically reaching approximately 220°C. Furthermore, this grade of product also exhibits good chemical resistance.
Flame-Retardant PPS
Flame retardant PPS is designed to resist combustion and reduce smoke emissions. It maintains good electrical properties, with a tensile strength of approximately 85 MPa. Its heat deflection temperature is approximately 180°C.
Conductive PPS
Conductive PPS is conductive, making it suitable for electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection applications. It exhibits good chemical resistance, a tensile strength of approximately 95 MPa, and a heat deflection temperature of approximately 160°C.
Glass-Filled PPS
Glass fiber reinforced polyacrylonitrile (PPS) is reinforced with glass fibers, improving both stiffness and strength. It boasts tensile strengths up to approximately 150 MPa, heat distortion temperatures up to 260°C, and low shrinkage.
PTFE Reinforced PPS
PTFE additives reduce the coefficient of friction, making it ideal for bearings and wear-resistant applications.
Carbon Fiber Reinforced PPS
Carbon fiber enhances the stiffness and thermal conductivity of PPS, improving its performance in high-temperature applications.

Our high-tech injection molding plant serves industries with stringent tolerance and regulatory requirements. We possess modern Class 10,000 (ISO/Class 7) cleanrooms and Class 100,000 cleanrooms.
